About Lionheart Wellness & Recovery
Lionheart Wellness & Recovery exists because too many people who want help can't access it. Transportation, technology, housing instability, court obligations, and stigma all get in the way. The program was designed to remove those barriers — not work around them.
Lionheart offers individualized, evidence-based treatment for adults and adolescents facing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The approach is holistic — treating the whole person, supporting the whole family, and staying connected to the community.
What "Lionheart" means
A lionheart is someone who faces something terrifying — and does it anyway. Every client who picks up the phone, walks through the door, or joins a session from their phone at home is already demonstrating that. At Lionheart, recovery is not seen as overcoming weakness. It is seen as honoring strength that was always there.

What is a hybrid group session?
A hybrid group is when some participants attend in-person at the Hastings office while others join from home — all in the same session at the same time. The group room is purpose-equipped so remote participants see the full group and whiteboard in real time, and the group can see and hear remote participants clearly. The clinical experience is equivalent whether you're in the room or at home.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person treatment?
Research consistently shows telehealth SUD treatment produces outcomes comparable to in-person care, including similar treatment retention and client satisfaction. For many clients, the ability to participate consistently — without transportation as a barrier — actually improves outcomes by reducing missed sessions.Â

Yes, they provide comprehensive, individualized treatment for adults and adolescents — at every level of care, and in every access format. In-person, telehealth, with housing support, and for the whole family.
