About Present Moments Recovery
Present Moments Recovery is a family-owned, CARF-accredited addiction treatment center serving adults throughout North County San Diego and beyond. Individuals and families affected by alcohol and drug addiction are helped through a complete continuum of care that includes Medication-Assisted Detox, Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), and long-term aftercare planning.
What makes Present Moments Recovery different is the commitment to continuity of care. Rather than treating each level of care as a separate program, clients work with one connected clinical team throughout their recovery journey whenever possible. This consistency helps build trust, improves communication, and supports lasting recovery.
The residential program is intentionally small, allowing the team to create highly individualized treatment plans instead of one-size-fits-all care. Evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), family therapy, relapse prevention, trauma-informed care, and life-skills development are combined to address each client's unique needs.
Present Moments Recovery is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services and accredited by CARF. The center is in-network with several major commercial insurance providers and helps families understand their insurance benefits before admission.
Founded by Mark and Amy Gladden, both in long-term recovery themselves, Present Moments Recovery was created to provide the compassionate, personalized treatment experience they wished had existed when they began their own recovery journeys. Families who contact the center speak directly with experienced professionals who understand both addiction and recovery from personal and clinical perspectives.

Present Moments Recovery serves adults throughout North County San Diego from three specialized locations. Residential Detox and Residential Treatment are provided in San Marcos, while PHP, IOP, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), and Outpatient Services are offered from our Carlsbad office. Structured sober living is available through the affiliated men's program, By the Sea Recovery.

Yes. Present Moments Recovery offers Medication-Assisted Detox in a safe, licensed residential setting for adults struggling with alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and other substances. The detox program provides 24/7 medical monitoring, medication management, and clinical support to help clients safely stabilize before continuing into the next appropriate level of care.
What counseling or therapy do they offer?
