More About Prudence
Prudence Leung is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) based in Toronto, Ontario, holding a B.A. (Honors) in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals, with over eight years of clinical experience.
Prudence works primarily with young adults and professionals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship and attachment challenges, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. In session, she draws on evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and attachment-based therapy, to help clients build self-awareness and form stronger, healthier relational patterns.
Her clinical focus centers on trauma, family dynamics, and relationship patterns, with particular attention to codependency, enabling behaviors, and generational patterns that often surface within families affected by addiction, whether the client is the person in recovery or a loved one supporting them. She helps clients identify the relational and family-of-origin patterns that keep unhealthy cycles in place, so they can build healthier coping strategies and more autonomous relationships with themselves and the people around them.
Believing that each person's journey is unique, Prudence takes a collaborative, trauma-informed approach in session, working with clients to connect the dots between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours before working toward lasting change.
