Dr. Bart Kachniarz is the owner and founder of Belcerna Plastic Surgery in Miami, FL. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at Columbia University in New York City, and subsequently attended Harvard Medical School. While in Boston, he trained with leaders in plastic surgery at both Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.  

He was the only student in his medical school class selected to pursue surgical training focused exclusively on plastic and reconstructive surgery. He completed his surgical training, including internship and plastic surgery residency, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, learning from pioneers in the field.

During his time at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Kachniarz won several awards for his breakthrough research and clinical excellence. He has published book chapters and scientific articles advancing the field of plastic surgery, with a specific focus on optimizing healing and reducing risks of infection. As Chief Resident, he won the Frank L. Coulson, Jr. Award for clinical excellence, given to only one resident in his training program.
