Dr. Traxler is a native of Minnesota, USA, and has lived most of her life dedicated to practicing medicine and teaching others healthy ways of living during all stages of life. She studied biochemistry and medicine at the University of Minnesota and worked as a family practice physician in rural Minnesota. She is currently a licensed physician caring for individuals in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

In 2005, Dr. Traxler began researching various aspects of healthcare, including integrative nutrition, the physical effects of psychological trauma, and disorders of the autonomic nervous system. She has written dozens of textbooks for doctors and medical students and penned many books and articles on a variety of scientific topics.

More recently, Dr. Traxler has looked into how people can improve their health proactively through exercise, nutrition, stress reduction, and other common practical life strategies everyone can use to avoid chronic diseases of all kinds.
