Dr. Ralph Waldo

Ralph Waldo, M.D., graduated from Indiana University with biology and psychology degrees, after which he received an M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics. In 1999 he obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Serving as Chief Resident during his final year of residency, Dr. Waldo completed his training in Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati. At. U. of C. He participated in numerous research projects, fostering his interest in research and getting to the root causes of diseases he encounters with his patients.
After becoming Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, he practiced psychiatry for four years at two major hospitals in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he began to incorporate molecular medicine and biochemistry in his practice. In 2011, he opened his own private practice in Carmel, Indiana, practicing integrative, biochemical, genetic and functional medicine.
He treats children, adolescents, and adults using a multidisciplinary approach. His emphasis is getting to a patient's core health issues in order to prevent, slow, or stop disease progression. His goal is to eliminate or reduce pharmaceutical medications when possible as eventually their use leads to increased inflammation and, eventually, new diseases. He customizes treatment based on each client's specific needs as determined through the patient's health history, blood labs, and other appropriate testing.
